Haugsted Aircargo Services A/S becomes Wallenborn Scandinavia A/S

Since the acquisition in 2009 Haugsted gradually and smoothly integrated into Wallenborn, and prospered as an important member of the Wallenborn Group.

2016 brought along the opportunity to complete the transition and as of 1st October 2016 Haugsted Aircargo Services A/S officially became Wallenborn Scandinavia A/S. The re-branding effort is supported by renewed, and substantial, investment in Wallenborn Scandinavia A/S which includes a recent order for 25 new Tautliner trailers in Wallenborn colours, scheduled for delivery in the final quarter of this year.

Pharmaceutical cargo, requiring stringent temperature control, reached 30,000 tonnes, with both Cargolux and Luxair Cargo renewing their GDP certifications. Additionally, LUX signed a memorandum of understanding with Shanghai Airport’s Eastern Air Logistics to establish a GDP-certified trade lane between Luxembourg and Shanghai. In summary, 2016 marked a year of significant growth and strategic development for Luxembourg Airport, enhancing its role as a key player in global air cargo logistics.
